Our candles are made with clean, non-toxic ingredients and are generally considered pet safe when used as directed. Always burn in a well-ventilated area and keep out of reach of pets.

Place the candle on a stable, heat resistant surface. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6mm) prior to lighting and before every additional use. Keep wick trimmings, matches, and other debris clear from the wax pool. Never burn more than four hours at a time.

Precautions:

Burn candle with sight. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Container will be hot when candle is lit. Stop use when 1/2 inch of wax remains. Do not extinguish with water.

Tunneling is a common occurrence, especially if a candle isn’t burned long enough to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges. The good news is—it’s usually fixable! Here are a few ways to even out the surface:

1. Foil method: While the candle is lit, loosely wrap aluminum foil around the top (leaving an opening at the center). This helps trap heat and melt the wax along the sides.

2. Use a hairdryer or heat gun: Gently warm the top layer to help smooth out the surface.

A large flame usually means the wick is too long. When the wick isn't trimmed, it can lead to a high flame and faster burning. To keep your candle burning safely and evenly, always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use.
